Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cellular Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor says that a hairdresser taped Jujur's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Jujur became bloody and upset.

Taylor told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Jujur’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."

Puppy Lux is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.

James took Juju right away to the doctor for emergency treatment. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Puppy lux of animal abuse. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.

James described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."

Jack Smithr - a Puppy Lux client - posted a Yelp comment detailing how his pets had been returned to him unwell or injure. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.

Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with animal abuse complaint the well-being of their pet. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."

Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
